March 23rd, 2006 - The Cabinet Meeting Play

March 23rd was the Buffalo area premier of "The Cabinet Meeting," a one-act play based on the idea of US President Susan B. Anthony appointing an all-female Cabinet. Many thanks to Celeste DiStefano and Pat Knoblauch for chairing this event for Women's History Month. The 20th Century Club on Delaware Ave in Buffalo provided an elegant location for the reception and the play. A large crowd was on hand to see many Buffalo/Amherst BPW members in their roles as prominent women Cabinet members. What great actresses we have! Thanks to Nicole Rogers, Joan Sulewski, Janet Vallorani. Susan Grelick and Susan Mager for representing BPW in the play. We found several new friends who played roles: Elsa Bondar, Betty Stone, Reva Betha and Zenna Nephew. The playwright/director Madeline Hansen starred in the role of Susan B. Anthony. Their cast photo is below. This was a wonderful event and very enlightening to learn about these women and their paths to success.
